Healthy Poha Recipe
Ingredients:
Poha (Flattened Rice) – 2 cup (194 gm) (360 calories)
Oil – 2 tbsp (17 gm) (151 cals)
Rai (Mustard Seeds) – 1/2 tsp (~2 gm) (11 cals)
Green Chilli – 3 finely chopped (6 gm) (3 cals)
Kadi Patta (Curry Leaves) – 10 to 12 (1 gm) (2 cals)
Onion – 2 (medium) (1 cup) (111 gm) (45 cals)
Heeng (Asafoetida) – 1/2 tsp (~1gm) (1) (4 cals)
Turmeric – 1 tsp (~1gm) (2) (8 cals)
Total Cals: 584
Method
* Just wash and keep the Poha aside. Do not soak it.
* Heat Oil in a pan
* Add Rai (Mustard seeds)
* After it splits Add Green Chillies, Kadi Patta (Curry Leaves), Onions
* Fry them for 2-3 mins
* Add Turmeric, Heeng (Asafoetida) & Salt and fry for 2 minutes
* Add Poha
* Cook for 5 mins on closed lid till steam comes out.
* Savour it!
